Inside the course
Develop the preparation.
Complete the service.
Day 1 combines e-file theory, demonstrations and self-practice. Day 2 brings Russian manicure, BIAB and colour together on a live model you arrange, with personal feedback throughout.
- Day 1
E-file theory & safety
Understand handpiece grip, working position, direction, RPM and pressure. Learn to avoid heat, discomfort and overworking the nail or surrounding skin.
- Day 1
E-file bits & working speeds
Select suitable bit shapes, materials and grits. Review tool cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation, and adapt speed and movement to the area you are working with.
- Day 1
Nail & skin assessment
Assess the nail plate, cuticle, proximal fold and sidewalls. Recognise skin types, choose a suitable approach and identify when preparation should be adapted.
- Day 1
Cuticle pocket preparation
Use e-file bits and manual tools in a combined method to open the cuticle pocket and prepare the surrounding skin safely, efficiently and precisely.
- Day 1
Scissor work & skin polishing
Refine scissor positioning, blade control and cuticle trimming, then polish the skin for a clean finish. Practise on your own hand with live feedback.
- Day 2
Consultation & nail assessment
Assess your model’s nail condition, length, shape and cuticle type. Tailor preparation and BIAB product choice to the nails in front of you.
- Day 2
Safe product removal
Remove existing product with controlled e-file movements, suitable bits, RPM and pressure, protecting the natural nail underneath.
- Day 2
Nail preparation & adhesion
Refine the nail shape and combine mechanical preparation with suitable prep liquids and base products for the nail type and selected system.
- Day 2
Complete Russian manicure
Bring the preparation sequence together on your model. Refine e-file angles, hand positioning, cuticle work and skin finishing with continuous guidance.
- Day 2
BIAB structure & product control
Build a thin, balanced and supportive structure. Refine apex placement, stress areas, sidewalls, brush control and self-levelling to minimise unnecessary filing.
